And now I’m thrilled to share that Ratna Flora will also be greening up the BYD Cannington Service Department.

To bring natural decor and warmth to the new space, Nick Hyde has ordered even more indoor plants to style the area.

Seeing the real plants make a real difference, not just in the look, but in the feel of a space, makes my heart so full.

Here is to growing, glowing, and going greener everyday.

“Build Your Dreams” isn’t just a name. It’s a warning to anyone who once underestimated them

With its expansion into Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, along with plans to sell 4 million electric vehicles in 2025, BYD doesn’t seem to be stopping until it becomes the undisputed number one.

n the past, Chinese cars were known for being cheap and unsafe. Now, BYD is seen as a benchmark for quality and innovation in the global electric vehicle industry from Tiongkok.

Back in 2011, during an exclusive interview with Bloomberg, Elon Musk smirked when BYD was brought up as a potential rival to Tesla.

With a laugh, he said, “Have you even seen their cars?”
Today, that comment stands as one of the most ironic moments in automotive history.

Fourteen years later, BYD (Build Your Dreams) , once known only as a mobile phone battery maker from Shenzhen, has emerged as a major powerhouse in the global electric vehicle market.

In late 2024, BYD became the world’s biggest electric car maker, beating Tesla.

But BYD started small. In 1995, a young engineer named Wang Chuanfu started the company in China with just 20 people. At first, they made batteries for phones.

Wang believed the future was in clean energy and electric cars.

In 2003, BYD bought a small car company and made their first car, the BYD F3. It looked like a Toyota Corolla but was cheaper.

In 2008, they launched the first plug-in hybrid car. That same year, Warren Buffett invested $230 million in BYD, helping the company grow.

BYD is strong because it makes its own batteries, unlike Tesla.

In 2020, they launched the Blade Battery safer, cheaper, and longer-lasting. This battery powers cars like the Dolphin, Seal, and Han, which now compete with Tesla.

BYD really has built their dreams from small beginnings to a global leader.
